The book Wapits is told from the perceptive of Chazy, a ten year old boy who lives with his Dad and four siblings. On the first day of summer Chazy wakes up excited that this will be the first summer that he doesn’t have to go to daycare. Due to some fighting the day before Chazy is forced to play outside instead of spending the day on the couch. In the forest next to his apartment he goes on a treasure hunt for bottle caps. Chazy doesn’t find any bottle caps instead finds a book that belongs to the Wapits. The discover of this book leads him to meeting a Wapit named Shay. The world of the Wapits is opened up to Chazy as their friendship grows. From here the adventure begins.
Wapits eBook Jacob Porter
This book is told from a child's perspective about his adventure one summer. I enjoyed the fresh, believable narrative and humor. For instance at one point we are told the five kids in the family fondly refer to their mini van as the "Nerd Wagon" while their single dad calls it the "Lady Repellant". It was hard to put down, I found myself reading one more chapter to find out, what happens next? This is an easy read and clearly would be enjoyed by school age kids and adults alike.
I can't think of who I wouldn't recommend this book to...anyone ready to take a journey to the world of the little Wapit creatures will be captivated. I'd like to think there is a sequel in the works.

Wapits eBook Jacob Porter Reviews
This is a great book. It kept my attention through the whole book. I am looking forward to the next book.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book from the first page to the last! Even as an adult reading a book for young adults it kept me excited and wanting more. Please let there be more books, a series!!!
The mystery of the Wapits had me roped in from beginning to end! I loved how the story unfolds through the main characters eyes, a young boy, who guides us through his daily challenges of family and his need to find out more about what lives just outside his window. I highly recommend "Wapits" to readers of all ages!
Great book. I read it to my seven year old son and he loved it. He was always asking me questions about wapits and wanted me to look up pictures of them. It's fuul of mystery and adventure and the relationships between the main character and his father and siblings gives the story an endearing touch and brings it to life. We're looking forward to more.
The storyline was strong but the author needs a good editor.
Bought three of these books, two for gifts. It is a fast read and my husband and I feel it could be made into a movie. Very good read and well written. Bravo to the author.
I really enjoyed the book! The kids in the book were really funny. My favorite thing about the book is that the book was always exciting and kept you on your toes. I recommend this book for everybody! Can't wait to read the next book!
